One voluntary group, cause or charity will be selected to be charity of the year for each newspaper in the KM Group’s portfolio including : Gravesend Messenger, Thanet Extra, Kentish Gazette, Medway Messenger, Sittingbourne Messenger, Sheerness Times Guardian, Maidstone Messenger, Kentish Express, and East Kent Mercury.

The winning causes will receive 12 months of support from the KM Group in print, on KentOnline, on KMTV and on kmfm radio – plus access to fundraising opportunities run by the KM Charity Team.

KM Group Chairman, Geraldine Allinson, said: “The good causes selected to be Charity of the Year will take their turn in the spotlight, reaching more potential supporters and gaining access to more fundraising opportunities.”

Simon Dolby of the KM Charity Team said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for charities. Our editors want to get behind a good cause and champion it for 12 months – and it could be yours.”

KM Charity of the Year is open for applications from regional or national good causes of any size until the deadline of noon on Sunday, October 21.
