Our latest funding bulletin is available to read online, containing grants that community groups, charities, companies, local authorities and individuals can apply for.

People's Health Trust

The Trust funds organisations that support people to create or shape local projects that will help their community or neighbourhood to become even better. It’s a funding programme for local people wanting to create fairer places to grow, live, work and age. People's Health Trust is looking for small projects, genuinely designed and run by local people. Funding is available for groups working in specific neighbourhoods, mainly in Dover, Gravesham, Maidstone, Medway, Ashford, Shepway, Thanet, Canterbury and Swale. Small pockets of Aylesham, Deal, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells are also eligible.

Check this interactive map to see if you are eligible.

Groups must be:

  • Established three months
  • Registered charity/CIO/company limited by guarantee/CIC or constituted community organisation (with governing document and management committee/board/trustees)
  • Average income less than £350K

People's Health Trust is also offering grants to communities of interest – a group of geographically diverse people who have shared experiences, characteristics or common interests, who wish to come together to take action to address issues that are important to them. The application process consists of a short Stage 1 form after which you may be invited by People's Health Trust to fill in a more in depth Stage 2 form.

Kent Community Foundation is offering support to groups wishing to apply to the People’s Health Trust, please read the guidance notes and speak to a member of their Grants Team before beginning your application.

Grant between £5,000 and £25,000 a year
