Market Consultation Children, Young People and Young Adults Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health

Are you a voluntary or charitable organisation that supports children, young people and young adults (up to the age of 25) in Kent?

Does the support you offer positively impact their emotional wellbeing and/or mental health?

Kent Clinical Commissioning Groups and partners are responsible for delivering the Kent Local Transformation Plan for Children, Young People and Young Adults’ Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health

The plan outlines how they are working to deliver transformational change to the emotional wellbeing and mental health system for children, young people and young adults. They collectively recognise that a significant proportion of emotional wellbeing expertise and support is delivered through the voluntary and charitable sector and would like an opportunity to talk with you about what you do, and how they might configure and coordinate thereselves for the future benefit for children, young people and young adults.

If you would like a representative from your organisation to come along and join the conversation on Monday 29th January, 10am – 1pm please email cypmentalhealth.ekccg@nhs.net with the following details by noon on THURSDAY 14th DECEMBER 2017

  • Your name

  • Your job title

  • Your organisation

  • Your email address

  • Your phone number

You will then be contacted by Friday 22nd December 2017 to confirm the venue and outline agenda

During the event, they will update you on Transformation and some of the key work streams within the plan, and would like your thoughts on how they could better meet the needs of our children, young people and young adults.

Maidstone Service Provider Networking Breakfast

The Maidstone Service Provider Networking Meeting is for any organisation who provides a service and support to people living in the Maidstone area and who would like to network with other organisations, share information and generally create more awareness about their service and how to refer.

It would also be a useful meeting for any statutory organisations (e.g. social care; health visitors) to attend and find out what services are available to their clients out there and how to access these services.

The first meeting in February was a great success these have become a regular feature running every other month and alternating with the Mental Health Action Group meetings.

The details for the December meeting are:
When:  Thursday 14th December, 2017
Time: 9am to 10am
Where:  The Involve Shop, Ground Floor, The Mall (Chequers Centre), Pads Hill, Maidstone ME15 6AT

Parking: There is ample parking in The Mall Multi Storey Car Park

Involve Networks and Forums

Involve run 4 quarterly forums in Maidstone; Maidstone Disability Network, Maidstone Multicultural Community Forum, Children & Young Persons Focus Group and the VCS Focus Group.

For our next round of meetings, Maidstone Borough Council will be attending all networks and forums to consult on the accessibility of their new website. They will be sharing an early version of the website and asking for feedback, focussing especially on accessibility and functionality so that all residents can use the website without limitations.

This is an important opportunity to share your views about the website and to represent your community and/or the clients you work with on how they might find the website. You will be able to meet representatives from the council and give your feedback on the website

There are 4 opportunities to attend the session:

Children & Young Persons Focus Group: Wednesday 13th December, 09:00-11:30 at Golding Homes

Pharmaceutical Needs Assessments

How often do you use your local pharmacy? Does your town need more? These are some of the questions being put to Kent residents in a new consultation.

Pharmaceutical Needs Assessments (PNAs) are used by commissioners such as Kent County Council and local NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups to identify local health needs that could be addressed by these services, and by NHS England to decide whether to approve applications for new pharmacies in an area.

Closing date: 22nd January
