Voluntary and community organisations hold the key to personalisation in healthcare
A new report from the Voluntary Voices partnership has found that Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations play a pivotal role in delivering personalised care.

2018 Social Enterprise Awards 2018
Applications are now open for the 2018 UK Social Enterprise Awards. The Awards recognise organisations for their business excellence and contribution to society, as well as the achievements of people working at the heart of the sector. All social enterprises can apply, and there are specific categories that public sector bodies and charities can also apply for. New action plan to tackle gangs targeting vulnerable children and adults in Kent and Medway 
The three year plan is a bid to tackle the increase of both ‘County Lines’ activity – where gangs from London and further afield target Kent and other out of city areas to sell drugs –  and to crack down on local ‘home grown’ gangs.
The aim is also to provide early interventions for young people on the cusp of gang activity and their families, protect vulnerable children and adults, work with schools on gang ‘myth busting’ sessions and development of shared database of gang information. Read more...

Future Medway Local Plan 2012 to 2035
Medway Council are working on a new Local Plan which will replace the 2003 Medway Local Plan. This will be a single document containing strategic level and development management policies, land allocations, minerals and waste, and a policies map.
They are consulting on a Development Strategy technical document as a key stage of work in preparing the new Local Plan. This sets out the ambitions for the plan, options for how Medway could grow and draft policies for managing development.
