KentCAN Funding Alert - 24th May

Our latest funding bulletin is available to read online, containing grants that community groups, charities, companies, local authorities and individuals can apply for.

Coastal Revival Fund

The government is inviting bids for a new £1 million round of the Coastal Revival Fund, offering grants to help bring at-risk coastal heritage sites in England back into economic use.

The Fund will support communities in unlocking the economic potential of hard-to-tackle buildings, landscapes, facilities and amusements and sustain them in the longer-term. It is hoped that the programme will see the restoration of some of the country’s most iconic and best-loved coastal architecture, such as such as piers, parks, 1930s lidos or promenades.

Bids for up to £50,000 are being invited to fund repairs and restoration works, or support large-scale projects to see them through to completion.

Applications will be accepted from Coastal Community Teams, comprising local authorities, businesses, charities and community and voluntary groups, including social enterprises. A coastal community is defined as a coastal settlement within an English local authority area whose boundaries include an English foreshore.

Closing date: 5th July
