Each organisation chosen to be charity of the year will receive the backing of their local KM newspaper, kmfm radio, and KentOnline – which attracts nearly two million unique browsers each month – publicising its work to a massive new audience of potential supporters.

Charities can find out how to fine-tune their applications at the KM Charity Forum, which is being staged on Friday, October 12 at the Mercure Great Danes Hotel, Maidstone. The forum is free to attend but places must be booked in advance.

KM Charity of the Year is open to applications from regional or national good causes of any size until the deadline of Friday, October 27. One good cause will be selected by each KM newspaper editor.

Each chosen charity will also be supported by the charity department at the KM Group through a range of collaborative fundraising events, including the KM Charity Walk and KM Colour Run.
